definitely one of my favorite gba pokemon games =]

i like pokemon fire red because it made me happy to see red and blue revived in gba form, with more added to the storyline and upgraded music. while the loss of the missingo on cinnabar island was disappointing, the lack of a quick and easy item multiplier made it tempting to try harder, and i'm not zapping myself into the future when it comes to levels. it's also nice to be able to trade with ruby and sapphire, despite that you have to do a lot of trading in order to get all the pokemon (carvanha, mudkip, etc.) i liked how the sevii islands were added to the storyline, with johto pokemon making an appearance, but it would've been nice if a lot more of them appeared, along with hoenn pokemon. another interesting addition was the upgraded elite four after you finish your team rocket situation on the sevii islands, because you had a little more to train for before the end. all together, i think this was a pretty good game, despite the missing parts.
