Can Mew Metronome or Mimic Sketch and then write over a moveslot?

I seem to remember that it can't, but a confirmation would be nice.

Transform... maybe, but only if on Smeargle. Transforming of Sketch and Sketching will not work because it will return to its original form after leaving battle, so Transforming into a BPer is really the only option. Mimic doesn't work; Mirror Move doesn't say anything about not being able to Sketch, but it'll probably fail as well. Checked Smogon.

well technically ditto can transform into smeargle, and take its move sketch, but the only problem is that youd have to have to be fighting a smeargle that has more than just sketch for anything to work...and thats impossible
