Time and time again, Nintendo keeps crapping out Pokemon games, most of them are very good, and some not so good. This year's sequels are almost equalivent to this masterpiece that is Pokemon Yellow. This game is the game that got me started playing Pokemon. Pretty good graphics for the Game Boy, but way more superior than Red or Blue. The creatures look like their Anime counterparts. Which is a good thing. The controls are the same as before, all you have to do is beat the Elite 4, and catch all of those Pokemon.

But what really makes this game different from it's prequels is not one, but two reasons.

Reason #1- This is a obivious diference, there's a Pikachu behind you. This is the first and only so far to have a Pokemon behind your back. Pikachu at first doesn't like you, rings very true to the Anime. When you fail to win a battle and faint; your Pikachu will be disapointed. But when it grows in level and you win a battle; it'll give a cute little sound and congratulates you for your victory.

Reason #2- The least obivious improvement is all of the Pokemon from past installments are all here (except Mew, because you can only get Mew from a special event that happend 8 years ago)

All in all, i don't give this a perfect score is due to the fact that they haven't changed the objective. Still beat gym leaders, get badges, beat the Elite 4, and beat your rival so many times your head will spin. But that's a silght smudge to a shiny near perfect game. I still play it, and if you haven't played it yet (What, Blasphemy!) go buy it and play it. It's awesome and a treasure to be kept and cheerished for years to come.
