PROS:

- Same Pokemon gameplay formula. Addicting still after all these years.

- If you haven't played Version 1, you'll like the new sprites.

CONS:

- Touch pad options greatly reduced from Diamond/Pearl and Heartgold/Soulsilver.

- Only 8 badges, you'll be disappointed if you've played Heartgold or Soulsilver which gave you a total of 16.

- The best feature, online battles, is owned by hackers. If you are a legitimate player, you will be decimated by people who max about their stats. Want to remain competitive? Better buy an Action Replay - a "gameshark" for the Nintendo DS. Without it, enjoy a Fire Blast from a Charizard doing only 1/8 of a Venosaur's health.

Bottom Line: If you have Version 1, don't bother. If you haven't played either, just wait for Pokemon X and Y in October and pray they fix any type of hacking for that game.
