Dragon: Charmander
Monkey: Chimchar
Second Trine:

Snake
Rooster: Torchic

The Gen 6 Fire starter will be any one of the animals on the Zodiac who hasn't been a starter yet.

I said this before, but I think the next fire starter will be a tiger. Horses and dogs have been done by other fire Pokemon, just not starters. And we've also done rat, dragon, pig, and rooster. I doubt it would be snake since we just got Tsutaja, but you never know. Ox doesn't seem likely for we have Tauros and Buffalon which are close enough.
Rabbit COULD be, but why do rabbit when we have rabbit Pokemon like Buneary? Still, we had Grumpig but that didn't stop Pokabu. Sheep could happen, yet I hope not. Mareep is enough for me.
Tiger seems most likely. Although Arcanine resembles a tiger, it really is just a big dog. I picture a fire tiger looking much different. Eh, you never know what the future holds. I want tiger though, since sheep and rabbit would just be too cute lol.

echidna = rats?
Anyway
Infernape is Sun Wukong, and Emboar is Zhu Bajie, Blaziken is a kick boxing chicken/rooster, Typhlosion is a Echidna/wolverine mix and Charizard is a fire breathing winged lizard.
The only reason the last two are fighting type is because they are based off the journey to the west and Blaziken because it was based off kick boxing.
Unless they based the next fire starter off a fighting style, I doubt the next starter will be fire/fighting.

^ that would take care of the fire/fighting Horse starter Pokemon, and it would be different enough from Rapidash. And what about the fire pig, it does have rabbit ears, yeah it's not fire/fighting and it looses it's rabbit ears with the second evolution that could go either way with covering the rabbit Chinese zodiac symbol. If Game Freaks are in deed using the Chinese Zodiac for the fire starters (which is starting to look like a pattern now) looks like we can expect many more Pokemon games in the future.

If it were to be from the zodiac and be fire fighting, I'd say a rabbit would work well. Saw some fan art a while ago with a small rabbit that grew into a fire fighting hare. Looked pretty cool
