Before the Wii and Warioware: Smooth Moves, there was Point Blank.

User Rating: 8.1 | Point Blank PS
Point Blank is one of those arcade games that doesn't attempt to create 3d-graphics or advanced texture rendering, and yet still manages to look good and feel stylish. Although it's sounds may sound clunky and often like sounds you'd rather not hear (i.e. fingers scraping on a blackboard, voice-acting from the megadrive games) it doesn't affect gameplay too much, as it is all too fast and frantic for the player to care. In terms of gameplay, think of the PSX lightgun version of Warioware: Smooth Moves - fast paced, fun, and incredibly imaginative. In addition to all of this, it has multiplayer - with all of the same games as multiplayer (such as shooting the volcanic rocks to protect your character, or trying to damage a car more than the other player, or even trying to shoot an apple off the top of your character's head in one shot). There are many of different types of gameplay, althoough most can generally fit into categories such as protect your character, damage the item, shoot the moving target or try to conserve bullets whilst shooting targets. These games can be played in several different ways - arcade, vs. and even a quest mode whereby you shoot the place on the map to choose where your character goes and it works in a similar way to Pokemon for the GBA - often being assualted by random animals. The main difference is that when you defeat an animal you gain experience and coins as apposed to animal, which you can use in shops and to persuade people to help you progress. This additional feature extends the game by a large amount. Whether you're into older games or not, if you own a Playstation or PS2 and a lightgun, Point Blank is definately a game you should consider buying due to it's faced-paced exciting gameplay.
