He's seems to not like it because it plays like the PS2 games. Which personally I have no issue with.
I still like the guy though, but I'm a little bummed.
Why be bummed? I honestly don't understand this way of thinking.
If you're interested in the game and know what to expect, why should it matter what someone else thinks?
I still bought the game, lol. Its just that I like the guy, and his opinion hurts the overall enthusiasm for the game. Possibly reducing sales and such to reduce a chance at a sequel.

PS+ has paid it's self for me. So from here on out I will refer to any new games as free.

lol, you really need that extra layer of reassurance, huh? A reminder that opinions are indeed just that.
Mmm. I can barely fathom the caliber of insecurity that craves this type of disclaimer in reviews.

Reviews are just opinions by someone with experience in the game and possibly games in general. Problem is there can be bias and hatred in a review. All depends on the reviewer. All that matters at the end is did you enjoy the game and was it with your own money. Other people's opinions aside.

??? Considering I was never going to buy the game, what reassurance are you speaking of?
I just liked his review style (shrugs) I guess that counts as reassurance now ? O_o

Thanks Adam's review, now excuse me while I buy the game.
That'll teach him. I actually make most of my purchasing decisions based on exacting revenge on annoying reviewers.@stargazer64
Assuming he's buying the game as a weird revenge tactic for a random review comes off as a little insane. More likely, he meant that he was getting the game regardless of what that specific review says because he feels he will be entertained by it.
But if some strange made up theory sounds more reasonable to you... Whatever.

I can't rely on Sessler for certain reviews, because he does have a bias (and he's admitted it in the past); but that's the reason I expected him to rate Sly higher than any other game.
Typically he's like "DIS GR8" when it comes to Sly/Sony.
Oh well, another dying franchise. Between Sony and EA, I think gaming might die. :/

What I admire about Sessler is that he owns his reviews. They are his opinion. If he didn't personally like the game, he doesn't give a crap about it's merits or what it does right that other people might like, his score purely reflects his enjoyment.
That said, people who review games the way he does shouldn't use scores anyway. They are pointless. Just say "Buy it" or "Don't buy it". Scores are for reviewers (like myself) who can personally not enjoy a game very much for a couple of reasons, but acknowledge that it is still a good game. Halo for example. It just doesn't click with me, but there is no way I could give a game of that quality a low score.

Adam Sessler is a corporate tool. I wonder how much Nintendo paid him to write that. This game must be making them nervous.
