The whole supermeter thing sounds more lik it suits a seperate game mode better than the core mechanic of the game. Give this game normal health bars by default and make the super finishing moves a seperate gamemode. This is not innovation, its more like alienating your game from the general public that might be interested in this, I think. I feel like every match will start feeling the same after a while if all you do is build the supermeter instead of 1hitKO's like falling from ledges and stagehazards. It also takes away from the thrill of killing someone when you are on low health.
