Super Smash Bros worship on steroids.
All Stars Battle Royale is actually faster paced and more technical than SSB.
A super attacks killing system and a combo paddle for each character make this game quite a different thing from SSB.
This may sound like this game should be even better than SSB. Well, it depends...
For the hardcore gamer this game will be absolutely awesome.
Learning combos (like in a Tekken game) and a gameplay speed that requires some reflex skills should get every hardcore gamer more than happy.
The problem comes with the casual gamer, because this kind of gamer will possibly stick to randomly mash buttons, and will ultimately end frustrated in the hardest levels of the game, not to mention the multiplayer mode...
All in all I'm still considering SSB a cornerstone in gaming, and therefore a better than this game (SSB was the absolute pioneer of this genre of game), but this is still a great game and a must have for the Vita.
Pros:
-Awesome stages and characters design.
-Graphics are insane.
-The gameplay is really funny, specially for hardcore gamers.
-It feels really amusing to see all these characters fighting each other.
-Good customizing options.
Cons:
-Balance issues (some characters are a bit overpowered).
-Lack of game modes.
-Menus design could be better and clearer.
-Too hard for people that stick to randomly mash buttons in fast paced games. (aka Casual gamers)
