Not perfect but surely great.
it has its flaws but it does what a brawler should do.
Lets start with the gameplay
The game has 20 different characters and when I say different I mean DIFFERENT.
Every character has unique play styles nothing like other games where the character has to adjust to the game they are ino. Here you will see Kratos fighting like a true god of war and sackboy more interested in creating stuff and dropping it around the field like a true ragdoll creator.
This adds a lot of complexity to the game, if you spend ours and ours mastering one character, changing to another will put you into intermediate level again, For me this is a really cool feature it adds a lot of replay value and increases that time you can spend learning how to play with a character that I personally love.
When it comes to the fight itself is where the game shines.
Each character has 3 attack buttons and each of those 4 possible combinations and most of them change if you are airborne so the possibilities are as wide as you could expect for a fighting game. like I said before every character has an unique playstyle, even the two Cole McGrath are different enough, but the command inputs are simple enough to launch amazing attacks from the first time you take the controller in your hands. But not be disappointed the fact that you can use flashy moves easily doesn't mean that this game is easy, far from that, Every character has its combos and moves that apply for the different situations you can expect in battle. most of the characters have several ways of playing so you can play it longe range, midrange or close quarters. Its sure that sackboy would want to avoid a close encounter with Dante or kratos that excel in Close range but this little guy do has the weaponry and wrestling moves needed to get away from that situation.
For the game modes, the developers focused on multiplayer and thats where most of the fun is, every little bit of the fighting can be customized, from the objects and weapons to the intervention of stage characters, time and gamemode, like other brawlers you can even team up with your friends to beat another team.
In conclusion, if you are a brawler genre fan looking for a competitive deep game that is also fun this game is for you. And if you are a casual gamer looking for a game to just blow stuff and hit other people this game has a lot to offer. Every body else in the middle will enjoy th s... of this game!
