What is the best strategy for combat trails (general) "10.Taunts" on all-star difficulty?

Seriously, this is ridiculous. I get to level 2 special fairly easily then I get right up against the wall and kill them all off and start taunting straight away. But if PaRappa or Spike spawn closest to me, then they just hit me with a ranged attack just before the taunt finishes, and this happens nearly every time. It's so frustrating, I've only ever managed to finish 1/3 taunts by the end.

Hold down the whole time and keep pressing "square" causing the grenade drop. You will easily build lvl2(at least 4-5 times within the time limit) Blast all three and then use taunt. Works best if against the wall. Should be easy enough!

Make sure you use Radec's first taunt as it's his fastest taunt, use sniper or forward square then taunt, and just make sure you avoid fighting as much as possible.
