I just played Star Ocean 4, and that just proved that WRPGs > JRPGs

It's sad that SO4 is my favorite in the series and A LOT more fun than skyrim. Games like skyrim I find utter boring. It's a single player MMO. Why play it? Why not play a proper MMO and not some dumbed down boring version of it?
And I'm not really a JRPG fan. I'd argue I play more MMOs than console JRPGs.

so you rather play a cluster of glitchs then a fun game like star ocean also thinking one game from one genre is bad doesn't mean that the entire genre sucks for example Skyrim being glitchy does mean that all WRPGs are gitchy

Have not played 4 yet..plan on it but i loved 3. Maxed all my characters. but the best will forever be 2. 2 was awesome. I actually emulated and played 1 on my pc and it was decent...but 2 was still wayyyy better.

Skyrim is just as awful, gameplay is bad in almost every single way. The only thing the game has is a large, explorable area and tons of quests, don't expect it to play well in any way.

No, but most jrpg are reeling more toward the Last Hope direction than Valkyrie Profile's or Nier's direction.

I don't know about you, but I grew up loving the ones on Genesis and SNES. PSone was like the peak of JRPG greatness. They weren't perfect games, but maybe we simply loved them more for the era they were available in. PS2 has had some interesting ones, but that doesn't mean they were good. They were mostly convoluted or gimmicky without any lasting appeal.
I haven't played a single JRPG in the past decade that comes close to those old ones, or at least that I enjoy nearly as much. WRPGs provide me with a lot more enjoyment and satisfaction now. I don't WANT to hate JRPGs, I simply can't love them anymore. Not until something worthwhile comes along.
I would buy a new Breath of Fire, Shining Force, Chrono Trigger, FF Tactics, Ogre Battle, Parasite Eve, Xenogears, Earthbound, etc. on day one if they came out with them. And I mean REAL sequels/entries, not some totally different CRAP with the name attached or lame handheld games.
You are about as ignorant and close-minded as TC. I figured this out when I read "lame handheld games." Some of the best RPGs this gen were on handhelds. Handhelds nowadays are just as interactive as console games. Also, with the large worlds that RPGs tend to have, they would take HUGE amounts of money on an HD console nowadays, and so handhelds seem to be a good fit as they take a MUCH lower budget while still providing great quality.
