There is so much this game does correctly, that It's easier to list the cons first.

Cons: gigantic battles with 200+ people can be CPU intensive and requires you to have at least a quad core. Although the voice system easily lets you communicate, it has a significant drop in quality as more people log in. High population servers may require you to have a wait time to log in or travel to another continent. Since it's a pervasive battle, your fun factor depends on your team's population compared to the other two teams (it's not fun when there's not enough enemies to kill or the enemies outnumber you 3 to 1. Requires you to use teamwork for maximum fun. Can have slow periods waiting for squad/platoon to organize vehicle columns.

Pros: Free to Play has been excellently implemented in that cash is used for customizations, experience boosters, and quick access to new guns. You are still required to play the game to earn credits that allow you to increase the stats, ability upgrades, and vehicle upgrades. Although the guns you can buy are more powerful, they typically specialize toward certain enemies and balance well compared to your starting guns. The battles are huge and dynamic. The battles span a huge map and the front line constantly shifts as bases and towers are captured. Tactics can easily break stalemates, and there are a lot of well organized groups who play. The game is visually outstanding, especially in gigantic night battles where explosions and tracers illuminate the darkness. Reaching battles is very quick with instant drop pods on large battles, and quick air vehicles. PS2 also has one of the best LFG searches I've seen in a game and it's painless to find a large squad to play with. Larger organization occurs when squads of 12 join a platoon, which consists of 4 squads (a total of 46 people). Outfits will often run multiple platoons during peak gaming hours, and you can easily find hordes of team mates to join. The action is intense, and each class/vehicle has it's strength and weaknesses so team work becomes intuitive and mandatory. This game would best be described as a BF3 on steroids.

If you decide to play, feel free to send me a friend invite. I'm Pharadox on the Connery (west) server and am playing on the Terrain Republic team. I'm the Hell From Above outfit and I would really recommend them for anyone looking for tight teamwork.
