So, why is the AF-7 great? Well, here is a review that explains the stats, how it performs in battles, and all that jazz:

My answer, two things; 1) due to the crazy low recoil and tight bullet spread, the AF-7 can pull off headshots with ease as well as is not as effected by the twitch effect when getting shot, & 2) because it can get the extended mag and have 35 rounds (while doing more damage 167vs143) it is easier to take on more enemies. Yes, GD-7F will win 1v1 more often but AF-7 can flank 3+ people and take them out before a reload. It is situational and play-style based.

Anyone know how good the TR SMG is? (From stats, I was thinking it would be good alternative for LA and Engie since Medic already has an awesome default)
Haven't played in about a month. So I've been pretty much waiting for this patch (SMGs and air-to-ground balance changes ahoy) before getting back in.

The TR SMG is probably the best one, like with most TR guns. It has the fastest TTK and has 30 rounds in the magazine (40 if you get extended mag). It has the lowest recoil out of the bunch and a crazy high RoF that is close to 900 RPM. It is perfect for a LA and an infiltrator. Just toss a suppressor on it and your infiltrator will be storming through groups.

I'm not throwing my cash at these things yet. SOE will nerf the crap out of this thing shortly.
The (TR) Armistice fires 896 rpm and requires 8 hits to fill someone. Assuming that every round hit you could kill 5 people in just over 2 seconds with an extended mag. Of course this isn't plausible but I think you will get the general drift.

I'm tempted in getting an SMG for the infiltrator as that would make this the goto class to be a ninja to cause havoc like sowing claymores, hacking turrets and having something up close and personal to kill.
As for uses... well...i'm not so sure. It'll probably work best in doors or small rooms and shooting from the hip. Tempted but not sure, the nc one seems a bit meh and not entirely convinced. I'll have to trial the gun and see what its like. For all we know its a niche weapon for up close and personal like a shotgun. I might just get the ax11 or something. But 20 damn bullets and some iffy recoil makes me sniff at the weapon.
So for the time being, i'll wait. Maybe get the EM6 or something once i've go the 100 certs for the gd 22.

It's very nice as infil. Get up to enemy lines and you can play havoc, decloak, kill, cloak reload etc. really good in places with lot's of cover like rocks and stuff. Plus usable for all classes so worth buying and upgrading. And stuff like camping sunds it's nice, or just for countering snipers. Can clear a whole ridge in about a minute.

I'm definitely putting it as first priority buy. Big issue is the ammo. And the awkwardness of not needing to ADS everything.
