A mesmerizing game, possibly more concentrated on art, that you can either love or hate.

When I downloaded PixelJunk Eden I only did it because some friends at school said it was good. When I got it, I first thought it was a movie for a brief second by the graphics.

Yes, might as well get over its strong point, the awe-inspiring visuals are odd, yet cool. The different colored gardens with the swaying plants and growing ones. The pollen floating lazily through the garden, the grimp swinging and jumping with ease from plant to plant. This is a beautiful game.

Also, surprisingly, the gameplay lives up to the visuals. It seems easy so you can learn controls quickly, but it also has a steep learning curve and you will never be bored.

Unfortunately the reason I only gave this a 7.5 was because 1. I'm a harsh guy and 2. The learning curve is too steep. Perhaps I'm a bad gamer but I found the time limit surprisingly frustrating as the dreaded beep informed you that you lost.

Perhaps I am being overly harsh, it does grow on you as you play more and more, maybe its those damned visuals.
