Even the kickass mullet doesn't make up for the game's deficiencies.

Pit-Fighter is a two dimensional fighting game. As if that's not bad enough already, it featured crappy graphics and some of the worst gameplay imaginable. You begin by choosing one of the three playable characters, who all have different moves, speed, and power. Although none of them work very well. To play the game, you can jump, punch, and kick your opponent. This doesn't work very well, because you can only perform these moves directly to the side. So if you're not standing exactly next to the opponent, you'll just stand there shadowboxing like a fool until your opponent pummels you. Sometimes during matches the player will come across foreign objects such as knives, crates, sticks, motorcycles, and bar stools that can be thrown at you or your opponent. The player may also come across a power-up known as the "power pill". If the player or the opponent grab this item, one will become temporarily stronger and take less damage from hits. I'm surprised the anti-gaming crowd of the time didn't bash this game for promoting steroids.

The only real good point to the game is the excellent mullet that one of the characters sports.
