Very good game, and I played it in 2005...

One of the best games I ever played, even though I downloaded it in 2005, when it was made in 1987. You can get it really cheap, I downloaded it off the internet as abandonware. If you wondered (or didn't) what the life of a pirate was like, play this, you'll like it. Really! The graphics are amazing for an old black-and-white game, and the gameplay is AMAZING! You keep getting missions just as you complete one you had before, and this game keeps you hooked for hours and hours. There are also different difficulty levels, so however good you are at Pirates, you'll get a challenge! Unless you want to read the manual and get details on raiding cities and such, you can jump in and play without any training (you'll need copy protection codes) and just start plundering. Really, the only thing that bothers me about this game is the sound, namely, the lack of it. I had to (well, really I didn't have to) make my own sound effects, which made my little brothers wonder what the heck I was doing. All in all, this is a fantastic game for something made 18 years ago, and if it weren't for my mom, I probably wouldn't have slept at all. If you can find a place to download this game as abandonware, do it. You won't be sorry for it. P.S. How come I, a 14 year old, am the only one reviewing vintage games?
