Suprisingly, the is a good MMO with some great voicing and fun ship combat; if you want to pay up that is.

User Rating: 6.5 | Pirates of the Caribbean Online PC
Pirates of the Caribbean Online is an MMORPG based on the movie series and theme park ride of the same name. Like any MMO, you know the drill: make an avatar, make friends and rank up. Making friends is easy in this game and easy to manage, but the rest is cut in half by the bill. If you want to do ANYTHING you have to cough up 10 bucks a month (5 for the first), or buying a special game card which I cannot find ANYWHERE! It just goes to show, that an MMO is NEVER free. The client is free to download and play, yes, but to get anywhere, you gotta cough up. The magic (voodoo) is stricktly forbidden, the experience gained is cut by 60%, and you only get two weapons, a pistol and cutlass. You can't exceed the level 8, and if you do, a message that says "Subscribe Now!" pops up. And a few hours into the story, the same message pops up to proceed. The voice acting is excellent and will sound exactly like the movie stars that play them. The ship combat is very fun, but the "Subscribe Now!" comes here as well. For free players, all they get is an insignifigant sloop not meant for combat. Also, the game suffers from big lags, and the graphics arent going to win any awards either. But, if you cheap and a fan of the movies (like me) you won't hate it. I'm signing off now.
