Lazy level design and hardcore dungeon crawling make this game a boring sequel to an awesome classic. Over-rated.

Well i loved Pikmin 1 in fact i played it both on Gamecube and Wii, but i think this one is a bit too long and too hard, it seriousely got on my nerve. The final dungeons are too hardcore and too repetitive to be fun. If i wanted endless dungeons i would just buy persona, from Nintendo i expected more creativity regarding the level design. The graphics are greatly derived from the first Pikmin, the dungeons look horrible and dark, some parts of the game are so hardcore i had to constantly press reset and reload. The game auto-saves in the middle of a dungeon and does not offer you alternative save files, which is just beyond annoying.

I love Pikmin and the gameplay has good basics, but it is not polished and show laziness and lack of creativity. The game creates a lot of frustration like pikmins falling from the platform for no reason, enemies attacking you as soon as the level starts or throwing your pikmins in the water with no way back, dungeons that you have to start all over because even though you managed to beat the boss, you didn't have enough pikmins to carry the treasure...

You have to have a predefined strategy for every level of every dungeon, whichis fun at the begginning but quickly becomes annoying.

So yeah, it's a bad review, sorry everyone but i think Nintendo can do much better than that. There are hundreds of better games out there, this one simply is lazy and lacks this polished gameplay Nintendo is famous for.
