Photo Dojo is great for some laughs, and up until June 10th, it's free, but there just isn't quite enough content in it.

Photo Dojo is a very fun game. Not because of the simplistic gameplay and the cheap AI, but because of the fact that every single fighter in this game is made, from scratch, by you, sounds and all. It could be photos of your friends, some doodles you made, even an action figure, but it's totally up to you what you want to make. On top of that, the game;s free until June 10th, 2010. That's pretty good! Naturally, I had wanted this game from the beginning becasue of its novel concept, and to realize it was free for a month? I had to have it!

I made some pretty basic fighters out of uncles, parents, friends, brothers, action figures, and doodles, and it was pretty fun to make them, albeit it took a little longer than I would have liked. Nontheless, it is quite fun to see yourself and your firends and your action figures duke it out on your Nintendo DSi. That being said, though, the fighting is extremely simplistic. All four buttons on the side of the screen do the same thing depending on your position and stance, and the enemies have very simplistic and cheap AI. You could be walking along, when suddenly a computer player could jump out of the side of the screen and hit you with an unavoidable kick! Actually, i shouldn't say that. It IS avoidable, but ONLY if you walk in 1 second intervals. Also, the multiplayer is done on only one DSi, which can be awkward at times, however fun it may be. I wish there was the option to share fighters, as well, and to use download play for other DSi systems to play.

As it is, Photo Dojo is still a good game. But, it could have been better with a few more modes and a more full-featured creation system. Nontheless, even if you fidn this game when it isn't free anymore, it will still only cost 200 DSi points, so I highly recommend you get it now.
