don't buy this game unless you are planning to play frisbee with it.
my god, this game is horrible. i don't have a lot to say about this game, only because it's pretty bad and there's not a lot of things worth saying about this game (or, maybe i do). well, i got it at a garage sale and paid $5 for it. and let me say, that price is to expensive for a game like this. ok. i'm getting on to the game now.
the plot is like, phix, the ugly puffball thing, swallowed a magnet that is important to his world, because it holds the world together or something, and you have to go see some scientist so you can get it out of his stomach.
ok. i couldn't play this game for more than 7 times because the game play is very confusing, weird, and horrible. like, i didn't even know how to play this game! and i even knew how to play superman 64 more than how i knew how to play this game! well, it's extremely unclear about where to go, and i was just wandering around the worlds, because i couldn't figure out where i had to go first, or how to get to the scientist, so how do you expect to clear a game when they don't even make it clear where to go first?!?!?! seriously?! come on!!! did the programmers even know what they were doing when they were making this game? or was it made by a 3 year old? i'm telling you, playing this game is pretty much equal to living without a brain.
the graphics are extremely ugly. take a look at when this game was released. it was released in late 2003, which by then, any game made should have good graphics, even if it's on an older system. well, the graphics in this game aren't good at all. why was a game on a playstation 1 released at that time anyway?! that was the time when playstation 2 and game cube came out! they should have been making this game on the game cube or ps2 considering how late it was released. ok. enough of the release date. the graphics are horrible, even for a last generation playstation 1 game, which by then, the graphics should at least be equal to something on a dreamcast, which had most games with last generation playstation 1 game graphics or 1st generation ps2 or gc graphics. well, an example of the bad graphics would be this: the graphics lack detail. they all look like moving statues that are extremely smooth. meanwhile, phix should look fluffy, the explosions should be having some bright parts and some dark parts all over the explosions. they should not be circles with light and dark zigzags all over the "explosion", the people shouldn't be one solid color, and they need shading! also, take a look at phix on the cover of this game. see how he looks like a brown rabbit with fluffy cheeks? well, in the game, he's a pink and white puffball thing, which looks absolutely nothing like he is on the cover of the game (holy crap, that's just plain bad).
the controls are, well, just as confusing as the game play. well, they're quite broken for that matter, and not the kind of controls you would see on your average last generation playstation 1 game, which by then, they should know how to program the game so that it would respond when you press a button. well, maybe the programmers were too lazy to do it right. or perhaps they still didn't learn how to make the game respond to button pressing yet? oh, well.
god, this game is so bad and boring, it's boring me to sleep from writing this review!
well, i had to put that, so you would know exactly how bad and boring the game is. really it is that bad. actually, bad isn't a good enough word to describe this game. maybe something like terrible, horrible, hideous, crappy or horrendous would describe this game. ok. i'm fallin' asleep now, so i'm wrapping it up. this game is nowhere even worth playing for 1 second. so, don't buy it, no matter what price it's being sold for. don't even download the free roms! you'll just waste space on the computer from downloading a rom, and it will waste space on your shelf if you buy it. please take my advice and don't play it. PLEASE RATE!!!!!!
