    Genre defining masterpiece.

There are very few games released that I would consider leaps and bounds ahead of their contemporaries. Phantasy Star is one of those games. It is a brave game in many ways: It had a reserved, female protagonist in an er... Read Full Review

    A Must Have Classic

Good for it's time, but not much storyline and some tedious parts.

I played this game for the first time in 2010 and was able to play through the whole game which says a lot for a game this old, but obviously compared to modern day RPGs this was lacking a lot of the in depth story line.... Read Full Review

A good game that pushes the Master System to it's limits.

Reviewing RPG's is very time-consuming and very different from evaluating other games. There is usually much more time spent. Add to that the many times you have to listen to the tunes that make up the soundtrack! More o... Read Full Review

    An iconic masterpiece.

I can't believe this game came out such a long time ago in 1988. I never owned the Sega Master System. Instead, we owned the NES. Luckily, in the late 80's and early 90's, I had a close friend who did indeed own the SMS.... Read Full Review

One of the Original RPGS, this game definitely helped set the genre for many video games to come.

If you've heard of Phantasy Star lately, it's much more likely that you're aware of Phantasy Star Universe and possibly Phantasy Star Online. Back in 1988 on the ol' Sega Master System, this great game was made. If you... Read Full Review
