The disc has recipes from all many country to try. Search by country or type of dish. I preferrer it from a cook book as it takes up less room and only show 1 step at a time. When you finish that step you can speak into the mic or press the arrow and move on to the next step. If you like glancing through before you cook like me that it does go back to the step before. It has a timer so if you need to simmer onions for 3 mins, it times it for you.
Never heard of an ingredient press on it and it explains what the ingredient is.
One of the best thing from this disc is making home made Chicken stock which made a tasted chicken soup as it is. Also the veal and mushroom dish is tasted too.
You do need to find a spot for your ds and may have to clean your hands a few times. Once you have made the recipes you could make your own verison of the meal.
If you need new ideas for your meals then this game would be good for you.
