Man, people are never satisfied.
I remember when anime was 20-30 bucks for 2-4 episodes. Now people want whole series for that price.

I remember those days too, standard for a 4 disc/26 episode series was 100 bux as a set or about 30 per disc. Then came a huge price drop in anime where 50 would be on the expensive side for a series, and now its full circle again. Although the DVD/BD combo packs are a unnecessary. And no JP audio?? Glad I stuck to torrents.

Yeah, I am actually liking the half and full season sets they are bringing out for ~$50 (usually less from places like amazon or rightstuf.com), as I started getting anime when it was $20 for 2 episodes on VHS.... then $20 - $30 for 3-4 episodes on DVD... Not only are these cheaper for me, but they take up much less space (and less time between releases).... All my walls are covered with the old 6-7 DVDs per season...
I do plan on getting the animation, as well as arena, but I want to finish 4 first... I never got around to playing my PS2 version, and am having a blast with the vita one.

To be fair, anime as a whole is a niche market. They have to make the prices higher because there aren't going to be massive sales. Though in Person'a case, they were licensed by Sentai, known for pricing their blu ray's high.
