    Okay, thanks guys

@ Zoel, you sure it's 300. I thought it was 350 lines? With 100 to spare.

@ SN, true that. If I ever get done with P4G, I don't think I'll have anything left to play. That's why I try to make the most of it and hopefully P4G can get me entertained for the rest of December (that's what the guide typing is for). You're thinking of playing the NA's version of P4G? o_O

With was said, yeah, I killed every single boss very quickly (less than 2 rounds for all bosses). That's because I'm playing on Very Easy mode. The EXP gain is ridiculous and most of the time, I don't need a strategy. So it's not a wonder that I give up on this trophy for my current playthrough.

Sadly, I'm not playing Very Hard on my 2nd playthrough; which is what I have planned earlier. I'm just going to rush to Marg at low levels while doing NG+ Max Slink quick guide, defeat/test her solo with low levels at Very Hard setup, get HRF while typing a small log of unique lines and a method/strategy of getting that trophy. Before that, I'm going to enjoy Jan to Feb. ^_^

    ADD:
-Non-combat = MC/party member died, I think you need to toggle dungeon/battle retry "on" if you want to farm MC related line

    I don't get this. Explain?
  • Dec 9, 2012 10:11 pm GMT
I am not 100% sure, so it can be wrong. I never gotten the trophy in the japanese version either, cause I misread the trophy, I thought I was suppose to listen Rise 250 times instead of hearing 250 Unique lines. By the I figure it out, every time Rise will say this enemy is puny etc..

    @KADFC
Nah, Im not planning to get the NA version, maybe I'll play it if 1 of my friend lend it to me, they still busy with the game though lol

Rise will say a certain line when MC died, if you play at very hard you wont get the retry option on game over, forcing you to load back the game after MC died, this will make the said line cant be saved to your save data since you cant save the game after MC died, you need the retry option to save the game after hearing the line (wont be a problem at ng+ with the difficulty slider, you can toggle off/on the the retry option)

And yeah what I heard back then is that she has more than 300 lines, not 350, but nobody knows the exact number

Okay, thanks, I have better overview now. It being feasible or not is another question.

A few more simple questions or not:
    1) In P4 vanilla, the Xmas present from Naoto is Handmade Watch. I've been hearing that there's costume and you get it for P4G. Is that true? If I didn't get it, is it available later on in the game or is that the only time to get it?
    2) Seeing as the data from the Daidara Metalworks are transferred to NG+, what/where are the materials to be the best armor/weapons that's in the shop? Is it still in the True Dungeon?
    3) Can I get a list/schedule/link of all the bike rounds for Jan/Feb?
    4) How important are those 3rd Tier Personas? At the very least, are all weakness removed?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it. It expires in 24 hours, and that's up.

Wait for GF's update tomorrow. I thought I could get everything that I wanted changed, but I can't. Tired. I didn't get the "Personas Needed" part yet. Anyways, I'm tired. Goodnight! (On my tablet lurking, won't be posting)

    1) need to choose certain choice on her lover path (something about high pitch voice)
    2) Never pay attention about it, but it should be from yomutsu material drop
    3) cant find the list on the jp wiki, but someone mention this topic on your older topic, dont know if the list accurate or not

    4) aside from the new design and exclusive skill, it generally change the null to absorb and change resist to null, they still retain the weakness though

On 3rd Tier Personas, I'd say they're mildly important. While weaknesses aren't remove some improvements are made, like Yosuke's blocks Fire...though that might've been the case with his Tier 2 (I got his 2 and 3 fairly close to each other)

Also everyone gets a special ability.

Yosuke gets Youthful Wind ([Party] Hit/Evasion Up+HP Restore)
Chie gets Dragon Hustle ([Party] Attack, Defense, Hit/Evasion Up)
Yukiko gets Burning Petals (Severe Fire damage to all enemies)
    I forget what Kanji's was >_>
Rise gets Complete Scan (Shows everything about enemy from the getgo. Weaknesses, Resistances, Abilities...even if it's a new enemy)
Naoto gets Shield of Justice (Blocks any attack completely once [Party]) (For a meager 160 SP)
I think Teddie's was called Kamui Miracle, the description says "Anything Can Happen..."

While they aren't necessary, they certainly do help a lot. I'm sure this isn't exactly the information you wanted, but hopefully it helps.

EDIT: Not like there's much else to do in January anyways.

One thing worth noting that I'm going to assume you'll put on the next update. There's not really any point in skipping the Christmas dates to fuse a yoshi with debilitate since you can now just take trumpeter to the coffee shop and get a debilitate card.

I don't know f you saw my post in another thread regarding books from Strength ala Kou on the basketball route, and I know you mention staying at rank 3 then rank 4, I think you should mention it the very first time you meet them or any time you type to spend time with strength. While I did catch it, I remember seeing the warning 3 or 4 months in, I could have ranked up higher before then luckily I didn't

Okay, I'll try to put it in certain areas where it will be more apparent to the reader/player. However, wouldn't it be more reasonable to include in my NG+ Max Slink section instead? I mean, that's the sole purpose of it and I hope that people doing NG+ don't use the indepth guide because that to me, makes no sense (You're trying to run, but I'm holding you back, and I'm teaching you how to crawl). NG+ Max Slink will include books, just not all quests/mini-game.

I'm going to disagree for one reason, I was doing NG+ and doing your walk through, I could have ranked up strength faster but didn't, but if I did I would have missed Witch Detective on my 2nd play through

Okay, fine, I just added it. There will be a total of 5 new noted alerts in there now. If the reader still misses it, it's there own fault. It is that noticeable. One would have to be blind/cocky to miss it

cool beans, I really think people will appreciate it since soccer sucks lol

Kanji's has a chance of inflicting Dizzy/down status on all enemies.

Kamui Miracles from my experience does some of the following:

    -Nothing happens
    -Party's HP/SP fully restored
-Party and enemies hp/sp fully restored
    -all enemies are downed
    -all allies are downed

I'm pretty sure there are more effects but these are the ones I've gotten

If I remember right, it's called Man of Action. And that sounds about right, I seem to remember being less impressed with his than everyone else's. Not that Dizzy/Down is bad but considering it's just "a chance", though I imagine that "chance" is actually fairly high (Wouldn't know since I never really used Kanji/Teddie out.side of HRF grinding)

@KADFC Are you going to have anything about fishing in your guide?

I'm asking because on my first play through I wasn't able to complete quest 67. It's the quest where you have to give Kashiwagi Teddie's 1.5 exp weapon for a Yukiko costume. The only way to get the weapon is to trade a mondo stone and xandrite for the weapon. I know you can only get the stone by catching a guardian and by the time I found out it was waaaaaay too late into the game to start fishing because you see... up until that point, I did not pay attention to fishing at all -__-

Guess I'll have to respond to all the comments, just to be fair. I have a lot of questions that's forcing me to stop gaming right now.

@Domichi: Okay, got it changed. View the updated version tomorrow to make sure that's correct. Both of them.
    @teddie: Yes, you will

@south: That is true. Yeah, I've decided to get all of them. I'll tell the reader that's something they can do if Slink isn't a concern.About Dragon Hustle, is that kind like... Heat Riser for everyone? Also, I just saw Complete Scan as well. Curious, but does this add more dialogue to HRF?

@bbob: Yeah, I already knew about that. I'm just going to delete the whole thing since I'm not even going to mention Debilitate on Yoshitsune on that date.

@Hollywood: Did you see the new added parts yet? Good enough?

@Gokotsu: I've heard that Kamui Miracles also inflicts a negative status on everyone (party + enemy) as well. Never seen it happen?

@deth: I don't know. Would a guide be actually useful? I can give tips since I think I'm pretty much a pro on fishing. Overall, I just love fishing. Too bad my restriction on the guide doesn't allow me to fish more. That plus, Genji Beetles are rare. IJB are okay, but I like the challenge from the Sea Guardian. Oh, on subject. I'll think about it. It shouldn't that hard. Yet I doubt I will be typing a lot regarding fishing.

@SN: I'm kinda stuck on January because I'm confused on what the guide is trying to imply. I know it's not Slink related since I'm basically done with it all, but still.

    http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww34.atwiki.jp%2Fpersona4_g%2Fpages%2F141.html

1-10, Night Time: Shop for Freedom: What does this mean? I've explored around and the only noticeable thing is that the Model shop is open and I can get a model to work on. Is that it? Or is there something else? No notes so I can't add anything to that. Same thing for 1/22, Shopping For Freedom.

1-11 (Night) to 1-12: I get the cooking part. The next day I assume I'm sharing it with Fortune, but that doesn't use the whole day does it? So it's more like a free day? I did see Naoto for a Bike Ride, but it's the same thing: Get new skill or relearn. So can I assume that it is a free day then?

Outing and Naoto (1/12) -> Naoto awakening (1/14) -> Naoto outing (1/19). I get Naoto's awakening, but what's the point in the 1/19 one since it's after? Is there more or is that a typo? Is 1/12 even needed to activate 1/14's awakening? I just don't get it because none of the other characters needed anything special done for them to talk to me; saying that they are ready and all.

What's the comment in 1/12 implying? The same with 1/21 and 1/28

Lastly, if anyone can answer this, great. I could test it, but I'm in my typing mode right now. I rather not game just yet:

Full/Complete Analysis, does that mean that when I scan an enemy, it shows all their affinities for everything without me needing to attack with that element ever again? If this the case, someone should've told me sooner. I didn't need to farm/grind in Heaven and M. Magatsu, slowly... x_x
  • Dec 10, 2012 7:09 pm GMT
1/10 night and 1/22 night, its actually 2 separated activity, shop and freedom, shop = tanaka tv shopping

Lunch are just for trophy, you dont need to share it, theres exactly 5 bento making on the chart to get the trophy

Naoto outing = the remark on 1/12 said that the author want to get bufudyne and ziodyne for her

Remark on 1/21 and 1/28 = fusion forecast, social link bonus up, you can get more lv when fusing, 1/28 is the last day that have "social link bonus up" fusion forecast

And yes, rise 3rd tier persona skill make her fully analyze the enemy, showing all affinity without attacking them

    1. Yeah, that's what it seems to be.
    2. No, not really. But it does make it easier since it saves a lot of time guessing weaknesses/resistances. And it's automatic, you don't need to wait for Rise to scan it herself, just hit L and check any enemy, all the info you need is right there (except on Gold Hands/Bosses HP/SP/Abilities of course)

Also, I don't know if it'll be any help but I imagine that some people attempting to get Yukiko's "Magical Armor" Costume will run into some issues with the Gold Hand stone (Magatsu Xanadite?), So if it helps, here's the grinding method I used

The best area I've found for this is Magatsu World Floor 3. Why? For one supposedly the later on the dungeon the more likely it is they'll drop the stone (unless someone's debunked that by now). Another, Floor 3 is the same layout every time, and finally the only entrance checkpoints are Magatsu Inaba, Magatsu World 1 and Magatsu World 4. Supposedly going down floors make Gold Hands more likely to spawn (again, unless this has been debunked). And finally, the floor is fairly large, so there's a good chance you'll run into one (I ran into one 4 out of 5 times). Additionally, it'll be easier if you have your party with Tier 3 Persona abilities, I recommend at least Yosuke and Chie, possibly Kanji, I can't confirm his abilities' usefulness but it'll most likely be of better use than say Yukiko's. Additionally, it'd help if Yosuke knew Brave Blade. Finally, have someone (most likely MC) with Marakunda.

Anyways. Start at Magatsu World 4 and go down, grab treasure if you want. Fight Shadows if you want as well, I'd suggest against it unless you're low leveled. When you get into a fight with a Gold Hand there'll probably be two Gold Hands and a Minotaur. IGNORE THE MINOTAUR FOR NOW Start off with
MC- Marakunda (Unless you have someone else with it)
Yosuke- Youthful Wind (HP Regain helps in long run, and Hit/Evasion rate makes Gold Hands less likely to dodge. Additionally, one will probably use Masukaja at some point).
    Chie- Dragon Hustle
??? (If it's Kanji then Man of Action. If it's Naoto then Megidolaon. If it's Yukiko or Teddie.....you figure it out. Personally I recommend Naoto for this since Megidolaon+Defense Debuff can do a major amount of damage to these Gold Hands (I've seen it do over 10,000 at one point)

IF you have survivors, and they stay (they have a habit of leaving right before you can deal the finishing blow) Wail on them with whatever (Brave Blade for Yosuke, God's Hand for Chie/MC if you have it, etc).

After the fight, head back up to World 4, then right back down to 3 again. Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Your luck may vary, but I went from 2 stones to 8 in about an hour.

@ SN: That solves some of my mystery.

I'm going to ask for your opinion now. Taking into consideration of the that schedule, meaning we only have a certain number of Free Days left. I count 16 days. I'll be using 2 of those for Slinks. So that means that there is only 14 more. Based on that as well and the bike schedule, we have the following bike rides for each person

    Yosuke 3
    Chie 2
    Yukiko 2
    Kanji 2
    Teddie 3
    Rise 1
Naoto 5 (Including the 2 from the author as well)

Is it safe to say that besides Naoto's extra skills, the rest is pretty much worthless and I should just label it free day? I wanted to get Yukiko (Mind Charge), and Chie's (Bufudyne), but I don't think that's possible. Even if I get it this late in the game, useful?

I guess I'll settle with Kanji's Atom Smasher. Does Rise even have any other bike skills?

    @ south: Oic, thanks

As for your suggestion... I'm not there yet, so I don't really know what you're talking about really. I'm guessing it's the rare drops from Gold hands? I have enough, but I'll test your method when I get to that point and reword it. That should help others that need a better way farming those. So it does help.
