Being an avid gamer, and.. playing too much for my own good :/ i enjoyed a challenge.
I managed to complete the game within I think 3 or 4 days, but f**k me it's a tough game.
I recently bought it again for a tenner, boxed - bargaini reckon, even if it is 6 years old now.
Yes it's hard, yes you die. A lot. But can't people look past this, and maybe even see this as an advantage ? I certainly have, and it a great challenge for good gamers.
Obviously overruled by its N64 counterpart, but remember this is only for the GameBoy Color.
The gameplay is tough, but almost perfect, with its first person and top-down views, in the style of Metal Gear, Mission Impossible etc.. The graphics are very decent for a GBC game, and the sound.. well.. it has voices !! Fantastic for such an old game - I haven't heard voices even on the GBA I don't think. This was very impressive for its time, and shouldn't be overlooked, however poor it may sound now.
I don't understand why so many people have disregarded this game.. I'm disappointed to be honest.
Try it out.. but don't discard it after dying on the first training mission - it's supposed to be a tough game.
