The marraige of Pachinko and Block Breaker is a match made in heaven.

User Rating: 8.5 | Peggle: Dual Shot DS
Puzzles that are easy to lean, difficult to master, and impossible to put down are few and far between. Peggle: Dual Shot is a relative newcomer in this exclusive family of puzzle games, but it certainly does the classification justice.

In Peggle, you taken under the wing of a magical unicorn who teaches you the ins and outs of how the game is played. After the crash course in Peggle-ology, various other creatures teach you what they know about Peggle. Each character has their own collection of 10 Peggle boards (5 for traditional Peggle; 5 for "Peggle Nights"), and everyone has their own unique power-up. There are 10 total characters in all, so there's no shortage of gameplay here.

While traditional Peggle introduces you to each of the characters as their collections of levels play out, Peggle Nights introduces you to each of the character's secret night lives and alter-egos. For example, the unicorn who shows you the ropes is a professor by day, and a super hero in his dreams. Who knew?

In addition to the 2 story modes, there's two kinds of multi-player, (wireless connect and pass-play) as well as individual-level quick play. As stated in the aforementioned review deck, the game is played much like a mix of pachinko and block breaker. Tiny ball-bearings are sent through a series of colored pegs, (each representing a point value) and the points earned are tallied up once the ball is no longer in play. Simple, but brilliant.

Peggle is absolutely perfect for the kind of casual player who might happen to own a DS, so, if you happen to be one of these people, I suggest you pick up a copy of Peggle. (should you happen to come across one)
