Worms get Web-based e-toy

Codemasters slaps out "Pimp My Worm"--an e-card annelid dress-up tool.

In anticipation of its release of Worms 4: Mayhem on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC, Codemasters has created an e-toy featuring characters from the long-squirming franchise. Titled Pimp My Worm, the Web-based application lets gamers adorn a nude worm in a variety of accessories, including hats, gloves, moustaches, and glasses, and e-mail their creation to a friend against a backdrop of their choice. Whether it's outfitted in cowboy gear, law enforcement garb, or any other Village People variant is up to the visitor. Worms 4: Mayhem is set for release in Europe on July 29. No North American release has yet been announced.
