nice to see they chose to include the annihilator this time, and as an idealist I realy hope that there is a chance for the chaos dreadnought to go insane that would be more codex friendly and kind of nice to see it go haywire amongst it's own.

And now I'm going to whine some more, a librarian casting spells?
A librarian maby being able to use more then one psychic element?
THQ have defiled 40k before and this is a somewhat small thing, and they did include the juggernought so I'm gonna let it slide.... for now.

its good that they added space hulk to the game + chaos daemons what more could you want?

Yes, gnenestealer, I've been waiting for that. Although I'm now more prefering the Chaos faction. They finally got the Choas Dreadnaughts and hopefully Possessed Squad or Chaos Terminator as well.

you can be evil....BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!

Even by way of his "normal" mutations bestowed by his chosen Chaos power, the chaos lord would be superior. Facing off against Abaddon in the single might be keeping in line with the bosses from the original campaign. Seriously, an Elder God can get away with 250k hp, but an Ork warlord?

As a muliplayer Lord tho, he might be a bit too much. Unless that is through some intricatly convoluted premise, the Blood Raven's lord is replaced with a Primarch...

did I see.... 7 squads on that war gear screen.... sweet... this looks awesome, I enjoyed dw2 but was a bit miffed at it's many limitations... this looks like it might solve most of them

Dayam does this x-pack look sweet. I really like the new corruption system, lol my co-op buddy and I will have to argue over what choices to make.

@008Zulu probibly be generic, if they where to give Chaos a hero like abaddon then it wouldnt really be fair on the other races...unless they are going to revamp all the heros?

Here I was hoping and knowing we couldn't play as Chaos in single player, with this new corruption element, seems like we will get to.

Since Chaos is in MP, d'ya reckon their main Hero unit will be a generic or someone like Abaddon?

    Space Hulk!!! Enough said.

Anyone else longing for a bigger pop cap? That was what made the first dow games so epic, the MASSIVE battles. Who doesn't remember playing winter assault and defending that breach in the wall as the imperial guard and being like "OHH S**T!, thats a lot of orks"

  • AnsuGurleht

    Posted Nov 13, 2009 9:39 am PT

How about a second damocles crusade? It'd be nice to witness the barbarism of the Imperium's finest from the perspective of humans serving the greater good, instead of all these "daemons" and similar silliness getting whole expansions to themselves.

Blood For The Blood God. Can't wait to see this in March. Seems like that added a hell of a lot more to the leveling up. Esp with the Corruption system.

    Defiantly AkaRai,
    We need other Races also.....

    A Must play RTS....

  • valent1n

    Posted Nov 13, 2009 12:20 am PT

Yeap, SP rules, but on MP there are some things that need to be done.

  • JrSlacker

    Posted Nov 13, 2009 12:12 am PT

All fine and dandy for the single player, but there still tons of balancing that needs to finished with the first one for multiplayer, hopefully they address these issues with the expansion.

Like to add on what AkaRai stated. I couldn't agree more, only having one race be added is kind of lack luster...I was expecting at least the Imperial Guard to pop back up again, but sadly it doesn't look like it.

So far, if the single player pans out just like the recent, it's going to be epic, and I'm incredibly curious on how the corruption system is going to work.

I'm also happy at least from what I've heard that all your previous saved single player campaign stuff will save and go over, which is awesome.

  • AkaRai

    Posted Nov 13, 2009 12:01 am PT

Now all we need are the Tau. And the Necrons. And the Dark Eldar. And the Sisters of Battle. And the Imperial Guard.

    And the... Squats?

What I like is Relic stays commit ed to their games and release them on a good schedule unlike Blizzard who was overtaken by World of Warcraft.

Relic is easily my favorite game developer right now. They listen to the fans, and fix the problems they had with their early games. People said DOW II`s campaign was to repetative, and they inject variety into the level design and objectives. I will be buying this for sure.

@alcari Always lacking intelligence.. too bad. Still looking at the darker side of things... too bad.

Anyway, this is going to be intense now that the Chaos Marines are in the game.

they should've put in 2 races at a time, like before. They could've put in Imperial Guard AND Chaos... but oh well.
