i'm still downloading. and i got only 10% in 30 mins.
it's not gamespot or download link which suck, it's my internet.
this game has Live - achievement like games on 360.
after trying this demo i will beat this retail game!

Great game - and can u guys talk any less tech 4 us non-PC/Mac freaks here? I also resent the comment of Lawar41. I haven't even played this game (I waz actually chosen 2 beta test the game - the beta test didn't work lol! And my PC doesn't let me download stuff from this site anymore, and from other sites it takes 2 long.) and I want 2 get it. Fair enuff, evry1 has their own tastes, but I hav neva seen anythin like this game. So plz get rid of the 'not original' comments tyvm. Btw wat the heck is a 'system restore point'? as i said b4, less tech talk plz for us non-hypes!

I dont find this game that great, the gameplay structure seems a bit naff to me, and the camera is way to close into the action to effectivly control an army!

I downloaded this demo not expecting much, "just another RTS". From the moment I took control of my first Lost One in the Tutorial, the game really grabbed me. I was highly impressed at how cool the units were, the factions seem highly original and the main character in the Demo missions is a really cool character (that's saying something for an RTS!). It's so satisfying unleashing Drone Reapers into cities and watching them suck power from electrical wires and deserted cars. While it might not be for everyone, I recommend at least trying this game to anyone looking for something new and fresh.

I'm still downloading the demo, and i was hoping to be able to try the 'Novus', then i read it's the the friggen 'Hierarchy'
frankly i think the 'Novus Mirabel' Is a bit TOO much like LT. Noin's Taurus(Gundam Wing) But still, they game looks pretty epic, granted it won't be any 'Starcraft' but it'll hopefully be better then 'Supreme Commander'

One technical issue arose after installing this demo and restarting my PC, it refused to let it load up windows xp as normal. Luckily I had a system restore point handy and loaded that up. I reinstalled the demo to see whether it was the cause and the same thing happened.

So be prepared and create a system restore point just in case. That said, having not expected much, I quite enjoyed it and will probably end up buying it. Loved the walker that could be walking weapons platform or efficient unit churner, and the adaptable hero unit. As someone else said, a greater zoom out would have been quite handy.

I played threw the demo twice and this is what i think.
Gameplay was fun and interesting. I liked the resource gathering. Nice music. Remakeing parts of the walker at any time lets u change stratigies easly.
The bad part. AI pathing is not good. Sometimes u must click something twice to select it. Sometimes must click something twice so the unit will do it.
If it wasent for the AI issues this would be a game to buy. I would atlest wait awail for a patch or 2 to come out. If the AI is then fixed i will buy this game but untill then...
At present demo state i rate it 6.75 out of 10.

i thought i would throw my two cents in about Supreme Commander, the game is awesome. this forum isnt even about Supreme Commander, so why mention it? And of course if you play the game for 2 months straight its going to get boring, and thats true for almost every other game ever made.

This game is really a bad version of caommand and conquer 3. it invents nothing and brings nothing new to the table. on top of that its not all that fun. but thats my opinion, u owe it top yourself to download this demo and give it a shot

I just downloaded - pretty good. Cool units, good interface, looks like a good variety between factions. Some poor pathing on the big walker, but great, other than that. Fun! I'll be buying.
