    I like this game, but it doesnt work on my computer, got all the updates and that but it doesn't actually physically play, the start screen loads up, but it doesn't play So im thinking should i buy the exspansion to see if it works, or just wait til more pacthes come out? I do like this game really well, the sim creator is so much better then the rest, and that you can follow them around and see a good town basis, this game deffo has a high rating from me. Just a shame it doesn't work for me, because it used to.

    Maybe a good game, maybe not - but one thing's for sure: you can waste WAY too much of your life on the Sims.

    This is Spooky 102's younger brother and I don't really think this game is good.

    @Jettaelas714

    I don't agree with such a conformist/tolerant take on it, but so be it. You clearly like the game as a whole much more than I, so it's natural that you're happy about a new title in the franchise, relatively regardless of circumstance.
    I appreciate the apology and accept it; and allow me to retort: I wasn't bashing you, I was making a point. On each paragraph.

    @ everyone else
    Pardon the silly and improper use of this comments section for our exchange.

    PS: I did not come back to this video after all this time, I just noticed I had a message showing me a comment I was mentioned in, lol.

    @pitosga

    also I apologize for the conformist comment, it was uncalled for and didn't really make sense now that I think about it.

  • Jettaelas714

    @pitosga

    I do agree with you, but to a point. They are milking the franchise for all it's worth, but it hasn't taken away from the overall value of the game, so what does it matter? I personally think this installment in the franchise is more meant for newcomers than veterans which is probably why you're turned off by it, which is fine and I understand. So bash me if you want, I really don't care I have better things to worry about, but I just wanted to tell you what I thought.

    I played the first one for 2 years. Played the 2nd one for a year. I'll definitely give this one a shot.

    @Jettaelas714

    This reply kind of comment is a little silly, but you deserve one. Resorting to labels may make you look witty to simple folk, but you are not.
    So, you tell me that you're satisfied with the game as a sequel because now the whole neighborhood progresses as long as you're playing. Woo-hoo - I'm sure that'll give you a wildly improved experience, my friend.
    Anyone thinking objectively can see that EA milks franchises as much as they can. The Sims, poor Need For Speed... Command & Conquer.

    On a side note: C&C 4's development team are already due to be axed (AKA fired) on another staff cut, as soon as they finish the game. EA is such an upstanding company.

    I dont believe this guy. He gives good reviewes too all kind of crappy games

  • Jettaelas714

    Posted Dec 1, 2009 6:27 pm PT

    @pitosga

    how is this not innovative? they added the whole living breathing neighborhood that they'd never done in any expansions previously. Yes, they do hold off the expansions to make extra money but the thing about that is you don't have to buy them if you don't want to. It's not like WoW where if you dont get the expansion you'll be left in the dust. The expansions add features that some may find appealing and some may not. Maybe thats not how Maxis intends it (I'm positive most of it is making money), but that's how it turned out.

    and by the way, pretending to be a non-conformist makes you seem like a conformist like everyone else.

    Great game!!

  • pitosga

    Posted Nov 26, 2009 8:55 am PT

    Nevermind the expansions, they couldn't actually make substantial innovations in a sequel; heavens forbid.
    The same PoS as the previous titles. And, in fact, if I get the time, I'll probably pirate it up to check out the cars you can (finally) buy and drive them around a bit. Then uninstall it. Because I just cannot stand the gibberish the sims spew. That, their gestures and overall demeanor ticks me off. It's too foolish. Way beyond funny. Of course almost noone else commenting here will agree with me - thumbs me down away, folks!

    But if luck will have it, a few kindred spirits get the chance to read this before it becomes hidden, and possibly draw some inspiration from it, using that to fight off the instinct of joining the herd in the overzealous appreciation of what is an obvious commercial cash cow.

    Every sims game is great, this one is the greatest.

    Unfortunately, it has the same problem as all the other sims games; you suddenly realise you're totally bored of it after a few days and have no desire to play anymore.

    Playing sims is like creating a dream life. It helps people sort of plan out their future without actually building people's real traits and skills. If the time is based on real time, and the years are based as actually years, then sims3 sucks. can't fast forward through the boring parts?

    Sims 3 is pretty ok I guess but I thought Sims 2 was better.
    And is this reviewer gay he speaks like a homosexual guy, just wondering.

    Great variety but I find this boring and extremely frustrating, since you try to repeat your everyday routine in the game, which you are playing to forget about it in the first place. I got bored, sealed my sim and his girlfriend in a small room and let them starve to death.

    I like Sims. But only enough to wait for the deluxe version with all the expansions included.

  • Phantsy16

    Posted Aug 12, 2009 11:28 am PT

    Oh and EAs gotta stop repeating expansions. This travel the world thing wont be much different from holiday. They repeat the expansions rather then innovate. Which is a shame.

    ima huge fan of the sims, and summer is almost over, so i dont have much time for video games when the semester starts...so would the 40 bucks be worth it? im pretty sure i could squeeze some good playing time before i go back to school, but as a college student, 40 bucks can be made into two separate nights out of fun...im sure the older guys understand what i mean. im just at a real loss of what to do, cause i love these games
