There's a new patch at the official site, which I'm downloading right now. Its doc says they created a new "strategic mode" that's supposed to make things harder. GS could make it available here with comments as if it did made the game less "piece-of-cake".

The patch didn't fix the crashing, there's some bad memory problems in this game, and several key bugs that affect the cities still...
MAKE IT BETTER!! I like this game lol

I was really looking forward to this since i love the SimCity games but OMG im really dissapointed! DONT BUY THIS! Its really a waste of money. Maybe if you are 10 years old you might enjoy this but otherwise its nothing like the old simcity games and its total rubbish!

EA has done this game like they did their sims series just to gain more money you greedy bast*ds!

I have yet to crash playing simsocieties, and I have seen no noticable bugs yet. I don't know why or how.

If you're thinking of buying this game, don't. Its full o bugs and crashes 5 minutes into play, even with this so called patch. Complete waste of time and money!

Wow a patch a day before release. That's a new one I think.
New building and terrina.. it only two each! I think I will still buy it.. waste my money on something new. That's what I did for City Life.

Absolutely rubbish ! If you fan of Sim City games like me, DO NOT buy it. Its a huge dissapointment. It reminds me of "legoland" for 4 year olds. No more power lines, water pipes, tubes etc. No economic strategy, no logics, nothing left. Just build it like a puzzle.

Is it me or is this game not that good. I feel that the games has an almost finished feeling to it. The land editor isn't very good. You can't zoom out and take a look at your entire city. The game isn't really a game about a growing metropolis its placing buildings. I don't know why EA had the team who did "children of the nile" make simcity. They basically turned me away from simcity. I can't wait til a real simcity game is made. (Oh, and there are a lot of bugs. The game crashed quite a bit).

You know a game is bad when a patch comes out the first day. They basically know the game was flawed but put it out anyway.

Wow, extra content already!

This does concern me just a little bit, The Witcher did the same thing with a patch before the game was released and it turns out that the game has a ton of bugs. Hopefully EA didn't rush this game to produce a similar result.
