Sid Meier's SimGolf goes gold
Will Wright and Sid Meier's golf resort management game is complete and will soon ship to stores.
Electronic Arts and Firaxis Games have announced the completion of the golf resort management game Sid Meier's SimGolf. SimGolf is the result of a collaboration between Sid Meier, the creator of the popular Civilization turn-based strategy game series, and Maxis' Will Wright, creator of the SimCity series and The Sims.
SimGolf lets players design, build, and manage their own golf resort. The goal of the game is to build their business from a small public course to a complete five-star resort featuring world-class courses, professional tournaments, and high-class hotels. The game features several different environments ranging from arid desert to tropical forests, and players can customize their resort with a wide variety of options.
Sid Meier's SimGolf will be available in stores the week of January 21 for an approximate retail price of $39.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
