Settlers IV Delayed

Blue Byte postpones the release of its real-time strategy game until early next year.

Blue Byte has announced that the release of its upcoming real-time strategy game The Settlers IV has been delayed until 2001. The announcement was not wholly unexpected, as Blue Byte had announced previously that it had cancelled the open beta test for the game. According to the developer, the beta was cancelled in order to let the team focus on completing the game in time for a holiday-season release. The postponed release of The Settlers IV is scheduled for January 2001.
