First look: MoonBase Commander
Infogrames' turn-based strategy game for kids is coming this summer.
Humongous--the company that created Backyard Basketball and other popular children's sports games--is now working on MoonBase Commander, a turn-based strategy game for kids. The goal of the game is to build the most powerful lunar colony in the galaxy, and to do this, players must find and exploit valuable resources and eliminate rival factions. The game lets players use weapons, surveillance, and shields to overcome their opponents, and it features turn-based strategy game mechanics with a simpler arcade-style feel. It has a single-player skirmish mode as well as a team play mode, and it also includes a terrain editor so that players can make custom maps.
MoonBase Commander is scheduled for release in June by Infogrames.
