Heroes Chronicles Games Ship
The first two games in the Heroes Chronicles saga will be available in retail stores next week.
3DO and New World Computing have announced that the first two games in the Heroes Chronicles series are shipping and will be available in retail stores next week. The turn-based games are titled Warlords of the Wasteland and Conquest of the Underworld, and they both feature the hero Tarnum in stand-alone adventures. The games use the Heroes of Might and Magic III engine, but they have less emphasis on resource management and no multiplayer component.
The games are designed to appeal to players unfamiliar with the previous Heroes games through the streamlined episodic story-based gameplay, shorter one- to two-hour playing sessions, and a lower retail price of US$19.99. Two more Heroes Chronicles games will be available later this year.
