    I long for when they can merge this type of gameplay with for eg. "Total War battles".

    Extremely hard to do. It's hard to interface. The only games I can think of that do it are TBS (turn based) that then use RTS style battles. Total War is the one who does it the best. Rise of Nations also did. The whole things is the RTS here allows you to decide the battles to some degree...just not thru the direct unit control interface you would want with say AoE, or Command and Conquer.

    It is just a video overviewing the world map. See it for what it is, they will probably release more game material soon. Hearts of Iron II was/is a great strategy game. I long for when they can merge this type of gameplay with for eg. "Total War battles".

    this is a terrible video, all the person is doing is scrolling around the map and clicking on some things, big whoopdedoo..if im making a decision on this video, its a dont buy

    The game is looking incredible! HoI 2 was superb but this looks like it'll blow it out of the water.
