First look: Grom
CDV's World War II-era action adventure game will let players try to foil a German Special Forces team's efforts to find a powerful weapon hidden in Tibet.
CDV Software has released some new screenshots from Grom, its upcoming action adventure game in development at Polish game studio Rebelmind. The new screens show off some of the game's interface, characters, and environments.
Grom is set in 1942. Players assume the role of a soldier trying to prevent a German Special Forces team from finding a legendary weapon in Tibet. According to the legend, King Arjuna hid the weapon, which is said to be able to destroy an entire city, in a mysterious location known as the Lost City. The game's story will combine actual events, historical speculations, traditional legends, and fictional elements. Players will follow a nonlinear path through a detailed world. The game's real-time combat system will let players control supporting characters in addition to game's hero in tactical battles.
Grom is scheduled for release in the second half of 2002. For more information, visit Rebelmind's official Web site.
