Far Gate coming next month

Microids' space combat strategy game will soon arrive in North American stores.

Microids has announced the upcoming North American release of its latest space combat strategy game, Far Gate. The 3D real-time strategy game features advanced visual effects, a scalable 3D engine, dynamic battlefields with massive solar systems, and a realistic physics model. Players control one of three unique races--each with 25 different units--through 16 missions in the game's single-player storyline. In addition, the game includes support for up to four players in multiplayer mode.

Far Gate was developed by Seattle-based Super X Studios, and it is scheduled for release on September 11. For more information, take a look at our in-depth preview of the game.
