Europa Universalis Screens
The upcoming real-time strategy game from Strategy First will re-create world history from the 16th century through the 18th century.
Strategy First sent us a build of its upcoming real-time strategy game Europa Universalis. The game is designed to accurately re-create world history from the age of discovery in the 16th century to the beginning of the Napoleonic era in the late 18th century. In the game, players control one of the several different nations, including Spain, Portugal, England, Venice, France, Hapsburg, Prussia, and many more. Most of the military, economic, and diplomatic functions of the countries are under players' control. Players must build and command armies, discover and exploit new areas of the globe, trade with other nations, and form diplomatic alliances. The game features eight distinct scenarios and a total of more than 75 countries controlled by human opponents and artificial intelligence. In addition, the multiplayer mode lets up to eight players compete head-to-head over an LAN or the Internet.
We'll have a full preview of the game next week.
