The Corporate Machine Goes Gold

Stardock Entertainment's sequel to Entrepreneur, The Corporate Machine, has gone gold and has been sent to manufacturing today. The Corporate Machine is a real-time strategy game in which you must start your own company in one of three industries - automobile, aircraft, or computer - and try to take over the world. You build factories, research centers, and marketing offices to out-manufacture, out-engineer, and out-market your opponents. The Corporate Machine has several types of units that players can move over the map to affect the gameworld. For example, sales units put products into distribution, and marketing units help improve the perception of your products or damage the perception of a competitor's products. Moreover, the world is divided into many different regions, each desiring something different as its ideal product. Players must tailor their products to their customers' needs while keeping products cost-competitive.
The Corporate Machine also updates and enhances Entrepreneur both visually and in terms of gameplay. For example, research is now conducted through a technology tree rather than moving slider bars, players have more control over the world economy through the ability to build additional structures, and the streamlined user interface allows you to interact with almost every aspect of the game on a single screen. In addition, the game includes a free online multiplayer service called Stardock.net, which lets players easily play against each other over the Internet.
The Corporate Machine is available for US$29.95 from the official Stardock Web site. Stardock lets users download the game immediately after purchase while waiting for the shrink-wrapped retail edition. A demo version of the game can be downloaded from the link below.
