    Of course it looks dated, there's a limit to the textures you can put into a 2D isometric game without using too much processing power. The question is: would it look better in 3D? Maybe, or maybe not. Sometimes 3D games look empty, and when they don't, they are really heavy on the pc because of all detail. Besides, it's always cool to lead your tiny team and plan your strategies in an isometric map.

    I really think fans of the series would have been happier with more of the same than with Commandos Strike Force.

    I'm still glad the reviewer pointed that the game can really get you into the WW2 atmosphere even with its dated 2D engine.
