EA compiles 13-game C&C Saga

Megabundle for publisher's 12-year-running warfare series to be available for $49.99 later this month.

Late last month, GameSpot confirmed with EA that the much-rumored sci-fi shooter in development at its LA studio was indeed set in the future-tech warfare universe of Command & Conquer. While that branch of the C&C story develops, EA is recapping what has come before to bring new fans up to speed and let old ones relive the series' history.

EA has announced the Command & Conquer Saga, a 13-game compilation of C&C games released since the series' inception 12 years ago. Included in the package are the original Command & Conquer, as well 1996's Red Alert, 1999's Tiberian Sun, and the most recent addition to the series, C&C3 Tiberium Wars. (An expansion proper to C&C3--Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath--will focus on the notoriously creepy Nod leader Kane and is due out in Q2 next year.)

Command & Conquer Saga will retail for $49.99 when it goes on sale later this month. In September, EA released Command & Conquer Gold for free, which is currently available for download on GameSpot.

A complete list of games appearing in Command & Conquer Saga is as follows:

Command & Conquer (1995)
Command & Conquer The Covert Operations (1996)
Command & Conquer Red Alert (1996)
Command & Conquer Red Alert Counterstrike (1997)
Command & Conquer Red Alert The Aftermath (1997)
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun (1999)
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun Firestorm (2000)
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 (2000)
Command & Conquer Red Alert Yuri's Revenge (2001)
Command & Conquer Renegade (2002)
Command & Conquer Generals (2003)
Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour (2003)
Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars (2007)

BAAAAAD GRAPHICS back then, and we realize this now hah! anyways, i just got the first decade yesterday and this bundle is worth it. only 50 bucks for 13 games.. basicly mainly for those old school rts gamers is totally worth it

What the ****?!? EA is getting stupid as hell!... Why release ANOTHER set?!? TFD was JUST released last year, C&C3 earlier this year, and KW next year..... If they were going to release another SET, they should at least wait for Kane's Wrath, or better yet RED ALERT 3!!! (joke)

Still.... releasing another set is stupid

Next one will be C&C complete, all of saga with kane's wrath. I bet everyone that bought C&C3 feels like crap right now, for the same price you can get C&C3 and the other C&C games. I hate buying these. I already have zero hour, generals, tiberian dawn, red alert and tiberian sun. If I want firestorm, red alert 2, etc I have to buy all of the games I already own, again.

I would be more open to the idea of buying this compilation if they actually made an effort to upgrade the original graphics in the earlier RTS games. As much as I loved the original C&C and Red Alert games, I can't stand the blocky graphics any more.

I only purchased the the last grouping of CnC games because my Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert discs were beyond recognition, and my system wouldn't work in backwards compatibility with Tiberian Sun. I really have no interest in buying these games again, but it is good for latecomers to the series, as not only do they get the newest one, they get the old ones to possibly play through in order to get the background story. But then again, if you haven't tried out Command and Conquer already, chances are you won't anyways.

I've purchased most of these games at least 3 times now... I think I'll pass on the 4th, since the only new game is Tiberium Wars which I already own.

In 3 years time, there will be yet another repackaging, called "The first 15 years" which will also include the C&C3 expansion and the new FPS game in development. Remember folks, you heard it here first.

Oh you think your halflife orange box is cool? Eat this...13 games instead of 5 booya!

Me: I would prefer valve and half life to every other game on this list. Not to mention, all of the 5 games are new, while 12 are old.

No way in hell am I buying this. When I bought First Decade, EA practicly screwed me over with bugs and problems. Luckily I gave CnC3 a chance and bought it when it came out but I am not buying another damned compilation package.

I would buy this except i already have 7 of the titles listed. Though, for all thirteen of you that havent yet enjoyed the CnC series than this is for you.
