i just got this game in Febuary and still play it ocassionally. Its fun, and addicting! Its really fun to crush the weaker AI enemy's empires.

the patch works, you just need to update dx... go to microsoft.com to find it

Installing upto patch 1.61 gives no problems, but after installing 1.74, the program won't start anymore 'can't find D3Dx9_32.dll'
This is also the same if u download directly from Firaxis through the game itself
Guess This final patch isn't so final after all, coz it has a MAJOR BUGGGG!
