Civ III: Play the World goes gold
The Civilization III multiplayer-focused expansion is complete and will ship at the beginning of November.
Firaxis has announced that Sid Meier's Civilization III: Play the World is complete and will be shipping to stores as early as November 1. Play the World refines the game's interface and adds eight new civilizations and a number of new units. But the main focus of the Civilization III expansion is the addition of several multiplayer features, including a turnless mode that lets players make moves simultaneously. There are a variety of objectives for multiplayer games, including regicide, elimination, and capture the flag, some of which allow for rather short games.
Play the World requires Civilization III to play. The game will have a suggested price of $29.95. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the expansion.
