Ballerium dropped (again)

Financial woes at Interplay torpedo development of Majorem's briefly revived MMORTS.

Last December, PC gamers lamenting the cancellation of Ballerium were overjoyed to hear the massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game had been resurrected. However, it turns out the game's reprieve was all too brief. Today, developer Majorem said work on the game "has again come to a full stop," thanks to its most recent publisher--the once-mighty Interplay--failing to come through with the required cash. "The agreement, signed in December, was to see Interplay provide Majorem with the means to launch Ballerium this summer," said the developer in a terse statement, which also offered up "the licensing of [Majorem's] MMO-RTS technology (and an almost ready MMO-RTS game) to interested third parties."
