Matrix picks up PureSim Baseball 2005
Shaun Sullivan's baseball management simulation to see retail release as baseball season comes to a close.
Matrix Games announced that it will publish the baseball management game PureSim Baseball 2005. Created by solo developer Shaun Sullivan, the PC game lets players dive into the management aspects of a professional baseball club. While not actually controlling the players in a game, they control the team's roster, follow statistics, and manage finances. The 2005 version features support of the Lahman 2004 MLB player database, so players can use real MLB players on their teams. The game is actually currently available as a free unlimited shareware download from the official Web site, though players are encouraged to purchase the game for $29.99 to support development. No pricing has been announced for the Matrix games version, which is due at the end of the summer.
