Madden Bowl hits ESPN

Pros throw down on virtual gridiron on sports cable network; matches begin tomorrow, finale on April 27.

As a key component of the Seattle Seahawks defense, cornerback Marcus Trufant is used to covering one offensive opponent. But earlier this year, he had to keep his eye on seven in competition during the 12th EA Sports Madden Bowl. Trufant, along with Phoenix Cardinal Edgerrin James, Cincinnati Bengal Chad Johnson, and San Diego Charger Antonio Gates, will be on TV sans football pads beginning tomorrow as ESPN and ESPN2 airs highlights from the virtual football championship. Eight NFL players tested their skills against each other in single-elimination play on Madden NFL 06 during the Super Bowl festivities, with only one walking away with bragging rights as the league's best Madden player. n00b.

I think he is mixing one too many Cosmopolitans...

How else could he forget that the Phoenix Cardinals are now the Arizona Cardinals? Although I think I know where he gets the connection. The Cardinals still play in Phoenix, am I right? He must have gotten them mixed up.

Wow the Phoenix Cardinals I havn't heard that since the early 90's whoever wrote this needs to go to nfl.com and read that they have been Arizona for the last 8 or more years. Overall this will be something to pass the time till the draft.

who wants to watch people play video games on their tv when you could be playing games yourself instead. Although G4 is always interesting. But they are just showing pros play Madden. I have better things to do with my time
