Microsoft has launched its official Web site for the Links 2001 Expansion Pack, an add-on to the popular golf simulation Links. The Web site features detailed information about the new courses, players, and course design kits that will be featured in the expansion pack. The Links 2001 Expansion will feature two new pros, Mike Weir and Keith Clearwater, and four new golf courses. The new course design kits included in the add-on will let players build custom golf courses using hundreds of objects in desert and highland themes.

In addition, the add-on will feature a course converter that will let players convert up to 36 Links LS courses for use with Links 2001. Microsoft sent us screenshots of Banff Springs hole #4--one with Links LS 1998, and the other is Links 2001. The company also sent us screenshots from new courses: Canyons hole #11 and Banff Springs hole #15.

For more information, take a look at our full review of Links 2001, and visit the new Links 2001 Expansion Pack Web site. Links 2001 Expansion Pack is scheduled for release at the end of May for an approximate retail price of $19.95.
