UK game charts: May 21-27

Hitman: Blood Money makes a killing on the chart, with Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis also making its debut.

After doing brisk trade in the past couple of months with Tomb Raider: Legend, Eidos has another winner on its hands with Hitman: Blood Money. The stealthy action game entered this week's UK all-formats chart at number one, pushing down the footballing duo of 2006 FIFA World Cup and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 to second and third, respectively.

Rockstar Games' Table Tennis title was the other new entry to make the chart this week and landed fourth place, despite only being released for the Xbox 360. It nudged the aforementioned Tomb Raider title down to fifth with X-Men: The Official Game holding steady in sixth.

Familiar titles round off the rest of the top 10, with Animal Crossing: Wild World falling to seventh, although The Da Vinci Code capitalised on the film's publicity to climb up four places to eighth. Championship Manager 2006 dropped to ninth and The Sims 2 was 10th.

what is all this about animal crossing?? The world is tiny, the characters are crap, the story is absolutely rubbish and the items are boring too.
Hitman is good and deserves its postition
Sims 2 is a great game as well

    But where's Elder Scrolls Oblivion?

I don't think it's multi-platform. It plainly states from what platform it's from on the games bios listings.

To those that are calling this the European charts...

It's the UK chart, not european.

Next, I am happy that Animal Crossing has remained in the top 10 for 2 months now.

Also, I wonder if the games in the charts are combined sales when they are multi format.

Wow, I'm glad to see The Sims 2 still in the top ten even though it was released almost 2 years ago. Go The Sims 2!!! It's a great game, I love it. And well done UK (I live in the UK and I'm glad we're doing well for once).

EDIT: And why is it a problem that people are still buying The Sims 2?

Japan's list is better because it has more DS.
But UK's list is cool because they love their football.
